What We Do

We expose ethnic frauds pretending to be American Indian people or "tribes" when they are not.

We are researchers. We gather facts. We are the whistle-blowers.

We do our best to see actual cases of fraud and violations of IACA, ICWA, RICO, etc., prosecuted.

We work to cease the activities of individuals and organizations falsely representing themselves as American Indians at every opportunity.

We do not focus on the millions of individuals who believe they have American Indian ancestry based on unfounded family lore when they do not.

We focus on the individuals, groups, and CPAINs (Corporations Posing as American Indian Nations) who falsely represent American Indian cultures, histories, and spiritual practices and/or falsely claim American Indian identity as individuals for profit or fame.

TAAF Mission Statement

Expose individuals and organizations that fraudulently claim to be American Indian people or Tribes; Stop these individuals and groups from profiting from their fraudulent claims and activities; Educate the public on the harm that pretendians cause; how to respond to their fraudulent claims; and how to avoid becoming a victim; Educate the public about the importance of tribal sovereignty, self-determination, and uncolonized allyship.

TAAF Vision Statement

We envision a world in which American Indian sovereignty and identity are so well understood and respected by everyone that Pretendianism could not exist. american indian native american tribal fraud american indian native american advocacy native american tribes
